Wiring Ideas Lace Chrome Alumitone

I am looking for ideas for my new project. Appreciate your help.
Bought a pair of Lace Chrome Alumitone pickups. But there just has to be an alternative to standard electronic wiring. Very boring.

Some thoughts were:

1. Bluetooth transmitter inside bass.
2. Rechargeable battery.
3. Self contained strobe tuner.
4. Throbbing metronome.
5. Lights and switches.
6. GPS Tracking.
7. Micro Digital Recorder (always on)
   
8. Flux Capacitor

Car restoration shows retro-fit an old jalopy with new high tech everything. Why can't I do the same with my old bass? There is the diagram from Lace, but not many options.

Would like bass to look like 2120 instead of 2020.
Maybe you have seen something I have not.

If you want something useful, I would suggest the coil split switch, coupled with a three- or four-band preamp.
