I got the EMG's used, from a store I know, but didnt think about the wiring as far as the hooking up the EMG's to run with a passive J..is this possible?? and where can I find a diagram for this as in a 2 vol,1 tone setup? My issue is that the old P set is wired partially to the volume pot of the passive stock J. so it seems to me like theres a problem with wiring it up the same way aside from the battery input jack etc..any ideas?? I might just wire the P's up and leave the J off for now and in as a dummy til I figure this out or get a J active to match. I need the bass for a show tomorrow, hopefully. any info would help,ty and its an older set,so its old standard wiring and solder action here..lol

Thanks for the info.thats what I figured. I went ahead already and started installing the EMGs and just removed the old harness etc and am just gonna wire up the EMGs.im sure it will be fine. Basically just be the P Bass pickup only model Jag for awhile,lol..and I don' Actually need the J pickup,as on the short scale it' real just light sounding and needs to be on the neck position mostly anyways to get a real good punch IMO..
