Wonder if anyone here knows what this bass neck came off of?

Hi, I'm new here, hope I have the right forum. I bought this bass with a fretless neck a few years ago, the guy tried to sell it as a Fender because it has a sticker on this bizarre headstock, I loved the tone and paid the guy $150 for it. It's not for sale, just wondering if anyone here recognizes either the body or the headstock? A friend is guessing it's a 70's or 80's Squier P bass, but the headstock, neither of us can find anything that looks even close.

Any help would be hot.

Blessings, Robert

P-Bass 2.JPG I keep flipping back and forth between your pictures and this one, and I can't help wondering... if mine was a righty, could I squeeze that shape out of this headstock, with some very careful whittling? And is that actual German contouring, or just a groove? Other than that? Haven't got a clue....:eyebrow:

I could see that being a home bass product by someone with some skill and collected parts, making his own P bass. Other than that...

My guess is that it's not a Fender and nor is the body, with that truss-rod cut-out.

I have a vague recollection of a Japanese bass with a scuplted headstock, from the dim and distant past (the name Antoria springs to mind, but that could just be a random thought), but it wasn't cut to that shape; it's possible that someone with a bit of woodworking skills modded it themselves.
