Would a Hipshot Xtender pair well with Gotoh Res-O-Lites?

I recently bought a '77 Aria Pro II jazz bass neck for a project and I would like to put some lightweight tuners on it. Now the thing is riddled with holes (looks like it has had 2 separate set of tuners on it) and I would like to cover as many holes as possible with the tuners while keeping the headstock as light as possible (and I may be out of luck with regards to using the old holes).

So I've been humming and hawing about the Gotoh Res-O-Lite GBR640 tuners, but I would like a de-tuner as well. Would the Hipshot BT3 pair well with them? Are there any major differences that would make the two a bad combo?

Please provide input if you have had experience with both/either of them.

Should be fine. Both are reverse wind & nickel plated so cosmetically they should match up. There's always a chance that the nickel plating on one may be slightly different than the other but since they're both made as duplicate replacements for vintage Fender tuners I'd say they should be very very close.
