Would this be a problem to my bass neck???

Hello tb
I just bought my new bass its 2012 mim fender
When first i received it, there was no uneven relief on the neck(both .01inch).
But as i changed the strings 4 times(stainless->nickel->stainless flats->stainless)..just in 2weeks…
Neck relief is now greater under g string(E-0.008in(0.2mm) G0.01in(0.25mm)
I know its common.
But im concerned if there would been some kind of “damage” on the neck.
Thank you for reading despite of my bad english ;)

In short, the relief will be greater if the strings you put on have greater tension. This is what the truss rod counteracts. If it doesn't feel right to you then bring it in to a pro for a setup (once you settle on a set of strings).

Edit: Realized I didn't address your question regarding possible damage. No there should be no damage by trying different strings, but again, once you settle on the strings you like, bring it in for a setup.

I really appreciate your reply!
I adjust my truss rod if tension change is possible ex)nickel to stainless.
I did it everytime, between changes
One more question is… can adjusting truss rod cause neck to be weakened??

Not generally. I was always taught never turn a truss rod more than a quarter turn a day, ut some up here will argue that.

In my experience, it sometimes takes time for a truss adjustment to take effect. Waiting a day after a quarter turn gives it time to settle in. In addition, I always loosen up the strings before attempting to tighten a truss rod.

Things that could possibly go wrong (another reason not to go past 1/4 turn a day):

1. Stripping the truss rod nut.
2. Tightening too much causing damage to the neck or fretboard.
3. Attempting to turn past the point of bottoming the truss rod nut out (see number one above).

thank you sir
This really helps
Have a great day ;)

One thing that I do when I need to tighten the truss rod, is I'll pull back on the headstock to bend the neck back at least to where the strings are laying flat on the frets and then tighten the truss rod while holding it in this position. It relieves some of the tension of the strings that naturally pull the neck forward, and helps to prevent the truss rod nut from digging into the wood at its anchor point. Some people will loosen the strings before tightening the truss rod for the same reason.
