for those of us using our iStuff to run our monitor mixes with the x32, look out! the ios 11 update has killed the x32-Q app on both iphone and ipad!

the regular x32 app still seems to work though. the b'ger forum says "they're working on it", but who knows how long that will take?

people on that forum say that the midas M-32 Q app will run monitors for the x32, and the app itself does seem to work on ios 11, but i have no idea if it will connect with the actual x32 board.

I have heard from other users that the M32 app will drive the X32. Under your circumstances, I’d surely give it a try.

I hate that you or anyone has to deal with the update blues. I have several remote apps on my iPad and had definitely planned to hold off on this iOS 11 update until I saw that the app makers had updated their apps and stated so. With everything I have coming up (including monitors for an orchestra show with a James Taylor/Carole King tribute band where iPad control is nearly a must these days for an efficient soundcheck), I can’t afford to be without my remote stuff.

Here’s hoping you get back up and running with your iStuff, Walter. Good luck!

The M32 apps WILL drive the X32's just fine.
Been running m32q with both x32 rack and producer for IEM mixes for 2 (?) years now, on both IOS and Android.
They just seem to "work" better.
No.. I have not upgraded to 11 yet.

Do the M apps work for XR18"s?

I just deleted a post that said probably not since there wasn’t a Midas MR-18. Lo and behold, I was mistaken! Make a note of the date...:roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:

Since there is indeed an MR-18 (and of course, why wouldn’t there be, right?), I’ll be the app for the MR-18 is compatible with the XR. Download it and try it. The worst thing that can happen is that it won’t work.

Let us know your results!

i can firmly state yes!

played just last night, soundguy uses an XR18, and just for laughs he was actually switching between the x-air and M-air apps on his tablet with no problem, said he ended up mostly finishing the night out on the M-air app.

i'm actually not expecting to encounter doing my monitor mix on an X32 until the end of november when the band is booked at a place with one in-house, so i'm in good shape, especially if the "M" version appears to work fine.

i'll also say that iOS 11 appears to be a nice upgrade on both my ipads (air 1, mini 2, so essentially the same model) and my iphone SE, they all seem to work faster and more smoothly in general.

My Gen 2 iPad is still on iOs 9.* no OTA upgrade notices yet.. too darn expensive to upgrade the hardware.. and I really only use it for OnSong anyway.
I use my Andy tablet for IEM's, etc.
