Hey! Does anyone have the extension piece for the yamaha 200/300 silent, and is it worth it? Just curious, thanks for any feedback!

Double Bass Yamaha BEF-2

When I got my SLB200 second hand, it arrived with the BEF-2 body extension and the 'knee rest'. I used it with the extension once or twice, but mostly I don't bother with it since then.
I have never used the knee rest - I think it is intended for playing seated.
I am sure I have read on TB of others who use the extension and have various ways of making it less slippery.

I have the extension. I consider it vital in completing the ergonomic matching of an acoustic upright. Without it, the bass can twist away from you.
When equipped with it the bass still fits in its soft case, just slightly more lumpy. Worth it.

I have it on my 300. Useful for standing, but kind of gets in my way when I play seated. I can also confirm it still fits fine in the case when attached.
