Hey folks,
I picked up a Yorkville 210B cab the other day for cheap $75 and it's pretty much brand new. There isn't a lot of info on these online so thought I'd check here to see if anyone has videos of any sort of background with them. I'm pairing it with an Ampeg 210AV right now and the rig sounds good but also toying with the idea of replacing the drivers because I like to do things like that with my gear. Not quite ready to change anything yet as I want to see how I feel about the sound before I change anything. Thoughts or comments on this cab or even a good set of drivers is welcome.

Interesting that there's no manual on Yorkville's website for that model.
Why would you want to go through the hassle of replacing speakers if they are good? Random speakers in a cabinet will produce random results.

These are old cabs. Honestly, I wouldn't bother putting new drivers into it - they use eminence ones (listed on the product page) and honestly if it's anything like the combo my dad's god, and the 115 cab that I had that was stock - there's really not much you could do to improve them. They're pretty fine machines as-is - albeit a bit heavy for the time. That's just the way they were built, big thick plywood panels make for a sturdy but heavy box.

It's not the most fun answer, but honestly, this is the cab that you use until the speakers break, and THEN talk to eminence about a suitable new speaker.

That's not quite the cabinet he's referring to.
The 210B had the tri-slant front grill and black carpet. Most of the ones I saw were 4 Ohm and were rated for 300 Watts "Program."

There is also a strange crossover on the back of it that allows you to run a "mid-cut" filter or a "high boost" filter. Both of those controls should be set to "Normal" because the filters were not very good. There was also a 410B with the same features.

You are right, though, you probably won't find better drivers for it, but if the OP contacts Yorkville, they'll probably give him any measurements he needs to find something that will work with that cab.
