Hello,

I have a simple question. I searched through the forums to make sure there wasn't a topic already but I didn't see anything.

I have a Yorkville BM400 1x15 combo. I am interested in using the cabinet for something else (Orange Terror Bass 500) but I can't find any information on the impedance or any other details specifically about the cabinet itself.

Here's the link to the Yorkville website BM400 page. Can anybody tell me anything before I end up blowing up my cabinet? I've only ever had this combo, it's basically my first real amp aside from some small practice amps I've had when I was starting out.

The link you posted contains a link to the manual. The manual shows your combo as having two parallel outputs capable of 4 Ohms min. This most likely means your combo has an 8 Ohm speaker inside.

You can pull the speaker and check with a cheap multimeter. If it reads 6.2 ish Ohms, it's an 8 Ohm speaker.
