While saving for my V-4B with AV212 cab I happened to spot a Yorkville Traynor YBA200 with Avatar 210 and EV115 cabs for $800, excellent condition on Craigslist. I have never heard of one of these. Are they any good? How would that compare to 'peg V-4B?

Do a search in this amps forum and you'll get heaps of info about em.
Great amp made in Canada. Is it better than the V4B.?? They're certainly different. Only you can decide that. They're well made, lightweight, reliable, (according to my tech) easy to work on & powerful.
As I said. .. a search should give you all the info you desire

There are several threads here speaking of both amps.
Since a quick search show MAP of 899 on the Traynor, I think it would depend on how well you like the cabs and what value you place on them, and bear in mind that ANY used tube amp may require the tubes to be replaced.

Though I don't have a YBA-200, I do own a Yorkville. It's a great amp, I'm very happy with their products. I would have no problem getting another one. Saved a fortune too because the people that didn't know it's a Traynor, just let it sit there. Allowing me to come in and scoop it up for a very low price.

I used traynor amps in the 1980's. The dealers were few & far between in massachusetts but the amps were great! I never had a problem with any of them and was able to resell them for decent money when i was done with them.
