I had a 100w Yorkie combo, a generation older than the blue ones. A bit underpowered for rehearsals but perfect for home practice. It was my home amp/ bedroom nightstand for like 15 years. Loved it.

You have a monster home practice rig there. :bassist:

That'll never work. It's too compact and good lookin' to be effective.

I'm not very familiar with Yorkville. What's that weigh? How many watts you gots? 200?
I have the BM 400 - the 400 watt version of the op's amp - great amp sounds great and very reliable but it is heavy. Weight is listed at 89 lbs - With so many of my bands gigs seemingly at the end of a long set of stairs the Yorkville weight was one reason why I went with the Rumble 500 combo .

I've had a Yourkville 200b 1x15 combo since 1996. It's loud, heavy and built like a tank. Never any issues with it.

The only change I've made is pull all the eat fur off and sprayed the cabinet with Rustolum stone paint..the thing looks like a cinder block now. Lol

A lot of love in Canada for Traynor equipment as it's homegrown and affordable. If I thought I needed a backup amp, I'd seriously consider the 500W Class D that could be had for about $500 Cdn.
I did own a Traynor Bass Amp likely made in the '70's which seemed to blow fuses every six months. Ditched that amp after a few repair bills.
That amp plus my old Jensen sparkly 2x12 cabinet would have been a Janky Rig of Doom candidate. Too bad I have no pics.

It wasn't until only recently that I started looking into Traynor products. No idea how I missed this all-important Canadian brand for this long.

Just a couple of months ago, I sent off an email to their customer service with a product inquiry and was thoroughly impressed with the way they responded so quickly and the way they answered all of my questions with such professionalism. I was totally sold!

Now both the SB112 combo and the SB500H head are at the top of my shopping list.

If you're thinking of getting one of the SB's definitely get the SB115. It's only $40 more and so much better. I had the chance to try both side to side and bought the SB115. The $40 is really worth it.
