I'm not currently using an expression pedal, but any momentary switch will toggle the tuner or switched functions.
Order of effects matters. Try one of the filters into a fuzz, then switch the order. The sound should be notably different. Unfortunately the only way to predict how they will sound together is to get some experience tweaking the orders.
The B3 is a great starting place, see what you like and go from there. Honestly the reason I use other efx is because they were already in the collection and it would be a shame not to use them.
I am using a Zoom FP02M, sort of a mid size, mid price, metal case and foot plate, not too heavy and has a top jack. There are a lot of different parameters that can be controlled with the expression pedal.
I also have a question about the Zoom B3. Does the amp simulator take up one of the stomp box slots? I'm thinking about upgrading from the B1-On and it can run up to five features on one patch; is the B3 limited to only three?
