I had been GAS'ing for a JMJ Mustang for a while, and bit fast on Lenny's offer that came with some great extras (like upgraded pickup and strings). The deal was a bit complicated, though, because Lenny and I agreed that in lieu of shipping, I'd drive 45 minutes from my home to pick up the bass from his wife, who coincidentally would be passing through North Carolina a few days later on an interstate trip. So Lenny and I ended up talking a lot on the phone. We shared enjoyable conversations about a slew of topics, bass and otherwise.
The handoff from Lenny's wife went like clockwork. And I just love the bass. AND it turns out there were even *more* extras than Lenny first listed. Just wow.
Lenny is a superstar TalkBass member, the type who really makes this place a community. Thank you, sir.
Lenny is truly the best. He answered my PMs immediately, made sure I understood the exact condition of the neck, had it packed up ready to ship within hours of payment, and shipped out immediately the next morning.
He even asked which shipping company I preferred. That's huge, because some folks have better luck with one over the others. This is all on top of offering a crazy good deal already.
Bass came in looking even better than I though it would from the pictures. Packaging was ultra secure. Never was worried that the bass wouldn't arrive intact and my comfort was confirmed by the hundreds of packing peanuts I had to cleanup after opening . Excellent bass from an excellent seller!
