I got these pickups for a Squier Affinity project that needed a short J pickup in the bridge position. I already had an EMG P-bass pickup in my parts drawer. I, like Nino, build basses, but I'm primarily a repairman. One of the best kept secrets out there, is that the Squier bodies are usually some hardwood, well worth the bargain prices they sometimes sell for on local sites. The whole p-j bass, with a Fender gig bag cost me $75.00 No one buys lefty basses locally in relatively small towns. I ended up building a neck to my specs for it. Now, I have a killer 'beater' P-J bass to play with, and a bunch of parts to repair other basses.
Nino not only sent the pickups, but some pots and connectors, too. All were used in the install.
It's nice to see people in this business who are honest and cool. I highly recommend Mr. Valenti!
