Thank you! I actually own two routers, a regular one and a small trim router. I haven't gotten brave enough to use the large one, and the one time I used the trim router does not bring back fond memories.
What you said about avoiding the hand method was my gut reaction upon first reading his email. I just couldn't imagine anyone being that good with no prior experience and no examples. Way too scary.
I really like your idea about contacting the wood shop teacher. There's a h.s. not far from my house. Excellent suggestion, thanks for that!
I appreciate receiving supportive comments from people who actually know what they are doing.

This gives me hope... that there are more exceptions to the rule than first appears!Well, I'm the band leader and my wife plays keyboard in my band, so we are the proverbial H/W team. We both are not young anymore, and I daresay we gathered some wisdom over the passed years, so there's virtually no drama in the band... but sometimes I still wonder what our bandmates are talking about behind our backs.
Well, I did just that, and the problem has been solved! Everything is back to normal! One of your pickups might be out of phase with the other. Try reversing the wires on one pickup and see if that fixes it.
No, I don't think there is a consensus.Btw, is there a concensus on whether the Keeley Bassist or GC-2 is the best option for bass? I definitely don't want a compressor that "overshoots" on low notes. Does that mean the GC-2 would most likely be the better choice for me?
The manual says for the Direct Mix, “adjusts the volume of the direct sound.”
Yes you seem to get the gist.So you want to "sell" things where someone else does all the work and assumes all the liability...
i think the exact opposite. white would be tacky and clear lets the finish/grain pop offYeah it looks great, but I think those clear pickguards look a bit tacky. A simple white guard would look more classy on this.
I am still confused by this. I thought direct mix was the same as blend. So direct mix at 100 is 100% dry and direct mix at 0 is 100% wet. But it isn’t?
People here horrified by perspective of going from binge buying random cr*p to responsive financial planning. The majority of the posts I see here, people have like 10 bass guitars. If they go up 25%, we’ll have to survive with 7 or 8.
My understanding is Direct Mix is a side process to the X-Comp. I like it because I have overdrive and distortion before compression. So the OD signal is going through the Direct Mix with no Compression. Or it it could be purely a clean signal. There's so many combinations with the GT 1000/Core.
