Pros
  • all round, good sound
Cons
  • too neutral, poor DI
A good amp for all purposes. The sound is very neutral, maybe not enough personnality for some. On the other side, it can well reproduce the amp and cab sims but once you've started using some, you may find hard to go back to the original neutral sound.

The character switch boost the lows, raise the highs a bit and cut the mids. I use it and then I use the knobs to finish shaping my sound.
The 12" speaker can produce low ends but not that much. You can't cut the tweeter but it's not too annoying. They produce a clear and precise sound.

Not too heavy but a bit annoying to carry around because of its cubic shape (always in your legs).

Aux. in and phone out make it a good amp for practice. The tilt back is always welcome when you're on stage (the DI outpout seems not that good, I haven't tested it myself, it's a general opinion that I've read).

This combo is good for a lot of things so it's not that good on every things. A good choice for beginners or part-time bassists. Keyboard players can give it a try, it could please them.
