Howdy all,
Reducing my pedal collection. I bought this pedal new and have had it for roughly 3 months. Excellent condition. Velcro is on the bottom, but I can remove it without leaving any adhesive.
Priced to move. Will ship CONUS in original packaging for $90.
Thanks,
Andy
Hello, TalkBass, I'd just like to as everyone here who their favorite bassist is. No Arguments. Although feel free to rank them, It's no contest though. To answer my own question, It's Cliff Burton of Metallica! Rest in peace, Cliff, My dearest condolences to your family. After him, It'd be...
Hey folks, for those new to the diary, I am a middle aged musician enjoying a bit of a musical renaissance, including finally picking up the bass as a secondary instrument. I am learning *pretty* much on the fly, generally gigging either in a duo/trio, and am documenting my gigs with brief...
So! I'm a working bassist. I've tried a ton of gear throughout the years. 20 years ago it was swr and ampeg svt amps which i remember were . The last 8 years or so I've used mesa subway gear, tc, markbass, trace elliot and orange rigs. The tones were good but just not for me. After spending that...

One my favorites, back in a bit early @1:22. His reaction after is great. Just goof’n.
Michael League is an absolute monster. Go out, have fun and make some mistakes people!
Any ideas on the bass players sound and settings? Tips to play this style? To me i gather he is playing light, mid scooped, possibly front pickup favored? Flatwounds maybe? and some compression. Just curious! Second song with Billy Preston kinda sounded like there was an octave pedal in the...

This is boggling my mind, I seriously cannot wrap my head around it !! How does he do that ?! At the beginning, when the bass comes in, he does something INSANE with his fingers, can someone explain what's he even doing ? How ? I'm so jealous of the speed and dexterity of this man.
I did want to ask if anybody's been listening to this new post-punk band called Stuck? They're very good. They were formed a few years ago in Chicago, IL, and their new album, Freak Frequency, which was released in May of this year, is already getting buzz from such websites as rateyourmusic.com...
I saw a picture of Frank Bello with his middle and ring fingers completely wrecked. So I tweeted that pic, asking him what song he used three fingers on. He replied, "I always use three fingers to play."
I'm still shocked. I've watched many videos of him playing bass, and I swear I've never...
Getting a new fretless bass and wanted to know how to get the tones of Peter Frampton's fretless bass player, Stanley Sheldon, and Bad Company's fretless bass player, Boz Burrel
My first teacher told me this at my first lesson and I think they were right.
I might be a bit myopic, but in pickup bands I feel like I instantly have to connect on some level with the other instrumentalists to do my job right more than they do with each other.
I think we share a lot of...
I decided to update this post to send an SOS to Warmoth. Dear Warmoth you make the best bodies in the world. Please!!!! Invest money in a CNC program that will give various “C” shapes to your bass necks. Also various fretboard radius like 7.25 and 9.5 as opposed to 10. You would be the best...
Im not a Beatles fan. I appreciate them at a distance.
I play a Hofner Violin BB (called Colin) and
all I read when I was looking for one was “put flats on it for that Beatles sound” and Paul’s this and paul does that blah blah blah.
As I’m writing I’m thinking this sounds like a troll post...
Hey guys… sorry if this is in the wrong section… please love to correct location if it is..
Im from the dark side (double bass) and play with a very cool band in Sydney Australia that is looking for a bass guitarist. I play mainly arco (bowed) stuff with these guys and we need an electric...
This thread has an objective of being a thread where you ask people to draw a bass/person playing a bass, and people draw it.
Every last day of the month we will feature the best drawing.
So, I have some unexpected personal issues to attend to and can't make gigs on June 4th and 11th. Both are 3 hour gigs, 8-11. I believe pay is at least $125, maybe a little better. The band is 80s Undercover:
80's UnderCover
95% 80s stuff, guitars tuned down whole step, some stuff in different...
Local phoenix Top 40 band looking to complete their ensemble with an incredible bass player to join a guitarist, drummer, pianist and vocalist. Gigs are going to be in the evenings, during weekdays and weekends, and will be paid of course.

I was just sharing with my wife the different positions of bass playing and how some wear it punk style down by ankles and others just under chin… then I thought,I wonder which famous bass player played bass slung the highest? Yep it’s a rainy Saturday here soooo this seems to be important question.
Obviously, no one likes basses with horrible playability, but is there such a thing as a bass that's "too playable"?
I have seen this culture with guitar players that prefer to "fight" with their guitar, whether it's from string gauges, neck shapes/radius, action height, etc and was wondering...
Hello there, folks of TB. I was wondering if there were any other metal bassists out there who have expanded their musical vocabulary into other genres, and gained influence from non-metal bass players. I've been playing since I've been about 13 (30 now) and when I started, I was quite ignorant...
Scott Plummer was the bassist for a tech. death metal band called Viraemia. Scott never could be caught without an extended range bass, ranging from 6 strings, all the way to 10 strings. He is most known for the song "Disseminated Intravascular Coagulation," along with his bandmates Michael...
Im starting to be specific in what I want in a bass. I don't like maple fretboards. I specifically like rosewood, I really notice the difference. Big time.
Also I like P basses and PJ basses exclusively. Not a fan of the jazz bass or the double humbucker thing. They sound cool when other people...
I would like to know who your favorite bassists are, and if you dont mind what about them makes you love their playing so much?
Ill go first,
Cliff Burton (his solos just made me happy)
And Tim Commerford (i love his tone and his place in all his bands)
Recently, a sax player I was jamming with asked me to join up with him for an R&B thing he’s putting together. My first question was, “Who’s on drums?” He told me it was the drummer who had just been a part of our jam. I replied, “Good! I only like playing with drummers I can trust.”
Turns out...
Hello community, looking for a passionate, long-term bassist for a pro tribute band project currently coming off the ground. This is a very serious band with exceptionally talented and experienced musicians. We currently have a series of professionally shot audio and video releasing soon along...
I’ve been on a Koko Taylor kick as of late, and her bassist on several 70’s Alligator albums was Cornelius “The Mule” Boyson. I’ve found one photo of him on Google, and no other biographical information there or here on TB.
FB shows a Cornelius Boyson Jr, but before I reach out to family...
This a spark from someone else's post and my recent dealing with the same topic.
Digital recording should be approached as one complete thought. ... Just like 'recording live' to tape was, back in the day. ... It used to be called 'the magic in the room', when everyone nailed their part...
Hi this might be a bit of a silly thread but I thought it would be fun. Sometimes I like to match musicians across instrument, mostly just bass and guitar since those are the ones I'm familiar with.
For example:
-I've always seen Flea as being the Slash of the bass world and vice-verse. This...
I heard this song in the backround of one of my dreams and it got stuck in my head the next morning so i wrote it out the way I heard it and so here you go... I call it "The Last Airbend3r"
