    This is getting a bit nit picky on my end but long story short, anyone know where I could find the dark brown / dark red purplish thumb rest like found on 70’s era fender basses? Working on a build and it’s the one detail really throwing it off. This picture is my reference.

    Anything like this available after market? or should i just get a rod from a random shop. I was also thinking of a dummy string (you know for that "true" feeling). I'm really annoyed with thumb resting on the pickup + it greatly limits the sounds i can get out of the bass
