    Who uses their B string for more of a thumb rest than to play notes?

    Fender Precision - early 60s thumb rest

    Does anyone know of a reproduction early 60s thumb rest? I need one for a 1963 Precision. The newer style is chunkier and made from a thicker walled plastic. The early 60s thumb rests were thin plastic. you could easily flex them in the middle.

    so i'm looking to add a thumb rest to my new coronado, but i'm not sure if drilling some holes directly into the wood would be a good idea since it's hollow inside. i would really appreciate it if someone could give me some advice :)
