1590A Bass Synth?! Banana Effects MATRYOSHKA

Eh, I don't ever get a synthy bass pedal and think it's going to sound just like a synth. That's not the point, really. The point is to mangle your sound in a similar way you would tweak a synth. And that is why this pedal continues to gain steam with players. It is a creative tool that you can sit down with and find your own sounds on. It's that pedal that you may use once or twice a set, but if you can play, it will be used quite powerfully.

The new wave of bass playing is more modular effects driven. It's not guys trying to sound like synths. If that was the case, why would Michael League have a modular pedal setup AND also use a synth as well? It's a different vibe, a different thing, and while it may not be for everybody, it definitely is a great way to keep an audience engaged and also inspire new ideas.

Yeh

Upon first reading Arrowun's post I thought he ordered THREE (3) Matryoshka pedals. :woot:

That would be insanely fun. :hyper:
Set each one up differently in different parts of your chain or on different boards that are linked together... :bassist:

Total sonic mayhem was pre-empted by the realisation that it's just the purchase of one (1) pedal from third batch for the Arrowsun... :sorry:

Yes, I have pedal impulse control syndrome. But it's not that bad!

I'll look forward to a comparison of the two. Do you feel a Future Impact does pretty much everything the Deep Impact does?

The Panda FI does EVERYTHING the AkaiDI did, plus wayyyyyyyy more.

I know someone with an Akai who also ordered the Panda, and as far as I know the quality of the PFI's sound is a match or better than the ADI.
I've played his ADI and have a PFI myself, but haven't been able to do a direct comparison since he got his PFI.
I'll be speaking with him in the new year and possibly organise a comparison test for mine own ears.

PS: PFI also does all the Akai Unibass schtuff.
