I recently came into possesion of a 1964 P Bass that was butchered by the previous owner. I decided to part out the original bits, and im trying to find the value of the pickups. They are from a P Bass made in May of 1964 (Pre CBS) they have original wiring, and don't seem tampered with in anyway. What would you say these pickups are worth? Also if someone has an idea how much the electronics (Pots and Jack) are worth, that would be much appreciated as well. Thank You!

Yes, this really is a 1964 Fender. It has the L series neckplate and all lol. I was given this and a 1964 Candy Apple Red Jazz.

what the actual.... wow.

anyway....

unsolicited opinion (i know) -- keep the neck, bridge, pickup, pots, etc, to put on a new unmolested body. Maybe Candy Apple Red to match the J bass.
I would send the whole pile to a shop like MJT to make a new body to match everything else. Keep the old “blob” for originality and provenance. You’ll end up with a great instrument and get to keep those historical parts together where they should be.

Are you willing to sell the body for half off?
i would but sadly the jazz had a serious large area carved out of it. when i repaired it, i used a large peice from this body and discarded the scrap as it was just about useless. the body and pick guard are the only things i dont have from this bass anymore. sorry about that because i would definitely have saved it if i knew anyone would actually want it🫤

You could check Reverb.com for pre-CBS P pickups prices. Also, go to eBay and click "sold" to see what kind of prices were paid.

Today's market is pretty bad for musical stuff. A couple of years back, there would have been more interest and chance to sell.
