1x15 or 4x10?

I know the best thing would be to have them both on my set, but at the moment I can only buy on of these, both are rated 350w (the brand is called Oneal, it's a Brazilian brand). I most play punk, I'm using a Precision bass and my EQ would be lots of mid and a bit of overdriver, so... What you guys think would be better for my tone, a 1x15 or 4x10? I'm gonna buy it on the internet so I can't test them

I wish I could buy both of them but at the moment I can only afford one

More speaker makes more volume so go for the 4x10.
Then when you can get another cab, get another one of them 4x10's.

A 4x10 paired with a 1x15 is typically a poor match. Get a pair of 1x15s or a 4x10. A 1x15 gives about half the volume that a 4x10 will provide.

Right. The idea that you need a 15" speaker for lows and 10" speakers for mids and highs is a myth -- at least in the world of modern full-range cabs. Unless the 4x10 and 1x15 were designed specifically to go together, it would be a much better bet to have two identical cabs. And if you can only get one, @BassmanPaul is right that you'll get a lot more volume out of the 4x10 than the 1x15.

Unfortunately they don't, they're new in the market but they're well reviewed. I guess I got my answer then, I go for a 4x10 and in the future a second 4x10. The gigs will be mostly in closed spaces for about 350~400 people or so (after all this quarentine) and if we need to play on the outside I could always use a support from the PA's

Both the OBS 115 and the 410 are rated for 300 watts RMS at 8 ohms, but the 410 has more cone area and will move more air. Oddly, they claim identical SPL for the two models. Impossible to say how they differ tone-wise.

I’ve heard both cabinet types sound good and I know guys who are happy with each one. If it was me, I’d go for the 4 x 10. The reasons are that the 10s are faster and capture the dynamics of my playing, plus the 4 x 10s have more cone area that will push more air.

410 all day. 215 though...215 all day.

Either one 4x10 + another 4x10 or one 1x15 + another 1x15...I (personally) would never pair a 4x10 and a 1x15 together. The 10's are going to be a little middy-higher whereas 15's are generally lower and bassy. Between the two choices you precented, my vote goes to the 4x10.

The 10" speakers might just be a tad less efficient, even if there is more cone area.

Depends on the speakers. There are deep 10s (see Acme B2s) and middly 15s (60s stuff).

I have a 15 , sold my 4 x 10. Now I have a 2x12 And a 2x12 build in progress.
I hear and understand differently now. Wish I had kept the 4x10. I rented a 4 x 10 a few months ago for a practice. damn it sounded good, loud and good.
