A friend of mine was on The Voice tonight!

The house band is good.

The drummer overplays the hell out of every song. But they are all really talented. That would be a cool gig.

The Voice is much better than the previous reality singing shows for two big reasons: (1) The selection is based purely on vocal talent, and (2) the coaches are nothing but positive towards the contestants. For the ones who don't get a chair to turn, they all offer constructive advice and tell them to come back. Some have and got chairs to turn. My wife and I watch it pretty regularly.

Whether or not you like The Voice, you can't help but be impressed with the house band. Awesome talent all around and the bassist Sasha kills it every single time.

I especially liked them when they formed the core of the Rockstar:INXS House band with the singers performing with a band instead of being a featured soloist
