[Amp Advice Wanted]

Hi Leo :)

Welcome to TB! :hyper:

IMO you are not wrong.(Which doesn 't mean that you are 100% right :D)

Even the best bass won' t sound good played through a bad amp.

But a really good bass sounds better than a bad one when you use a D.I.

What do you use to amplify your bass and

how do you get your sound(s) when you are rehearsing?

Are you using pedals or just your bass?

Our rehearsal room is rented. They have a good amount of gear there. Anyone who rehearses there is free to use.
When we rehearse I use an Hartke 2500 Bass Head through a HD410 Cab of the same brand (If I recall the cab correctly )

I use a DigiTech Whammy 5th Gen (the guitar one) on a couple of songs. I also used to have a Big muff pi that we managed to lose the power source cable. I intend on buying a new cable and possibly use it again.

maybe just get a more colorful and flexible DI like a SansAmp BDDI or YYZ?

Are you rehearsing through an amp?

Eventually going to something like a Mesa D800 and a nice 212 cab would be nice to have.

I rehearse through and amp yes, an Hartke 2500 head. it works great, I just thought that I could find something better since our budget is higher than the price of the Hartke. It goes through a 410 cab if I'm not mistaken.
