Did he mean "hurt the cab" as in underpowering it, LOL?

The 1 in the 12/6/1 may pitch a fit if you really crank the amp into distortion.

Tweeters don't like clipped signals. It's the origin of the underpowering myth.

Ime of 50w tube amp it was great at rehearsal but gigs stepped up in volume so much that I couldn't stay clean and keep up properly at louder big band level, which is somewhat loud but not even close to loud rock band level.

What would the tweeter do/sound like exactly? And thanks for the input, most of the groups I play with get pretty loud too.
