Ampeg Venture 1200 connectors

Hi all,
Hoping the right section for this question. I have the new ampeg head delivered today and it only takes NL2 speakon cables.
My "normal" speakOn cables (nl4?) dont fit.
Any guidance, looks like I am going to need a NL2 to fit the head input and then the old ampeg 6 -10 hlf speakon for the other end.. or a quarter inch..

So NL2 - NL4 male to male?
or NL2 to quarter inch ?

Feel like I just bought a apple iphone and have to replace all my non interoperable cables

Wasn't there a newer Markbass amp that also used NL2? This seems to be a strange reversal to industry trend away from NL4.

To answer your question, I vote NL2-NL4, but you're going to somehow mark which end is which.

Thanks, yes am now told markbass had similar, apparently nl2 is compatible with nl4 inputs but nl4 wont fit nl2!

i have talked to two guitar shops today and everyone is a bit baffled:0)

ordered NL2-NL2 male to male hoping the compatibility is true and just incase a nl2- 1/4 inch

NL2 plugs fit in NL4 jacks, so you don't need an adapter. Get a quality cable with genuine Neutrik NL2 on both ends.

GK, MarkBass, and now Ampeg have done this. IMHO really stupid! . GK reverted back to NL4.

No kidding its like dealing with tech - USB C cables
You get your gear and none of the cables you work. Brand new amp sitting in the living room cant even try it

Why wouldnt the product description mention NL2 - at least i couldve ordered one at the same time ‍‍

If they're not Neutrik, don't use them. Sell them cheap to someone you hate. Those generics are just asking for trouble.

I really recommend genuine Neutrik, the knock-off plugs can be a real problem AND damage the jacks on the amp too.

Related from a quality point of view

I have seen a consultant hold up final payment because a sound contractor used some Neutrik equivalents. A 1.5 million dollar sound system, and this is where the contractor decides to save money?
