Looks like he has a Badass bridge on there, but beyond that and the pickguard it looks like it could probably be a stock Affinity P bass. Listen to Weedeater and you will hear just how well that bass delivers through that Sunn rig! No need for him to upgrade any time soon.

Wife picked up affinity mic at a pawnshop cuz she liked the color and we had out door gigs coming up. Jazz growl and lite weight, love it!

I had/used one as a backup and it worked well for when and if I needed to just get through a gig when I had to. Don't knock Squier though, the Classic Vibe and Vintage Modified models are pretty amazing!

I can't stand it when people who are "label whores" turn their nose up to the lesser brands and say "Oh, you can't play out with that!"

I'm glad I can say I have never heard or read anybody saying something along those lines.

For a new project I was trying out several basses I own, to listen which bass would be the best suitable in combination with my amp.
After going through my Warwick, Steinberger, Fender, Sterling Sub, BaCH, Fernandes & Squire’s, I ended up with a Squire Affinity Precision.
It is just the right bass for the job. Studio, rehearsel and live.

I think it's a phenomenal sounding bass and very comfortable to play. I can't stand it when people who are "label whores" turn their nose up to the lesser brands and say "Oh, you can't play out with that!"

I can rock the house with a HONDO can Brand snobs do that.

Not quite but my main and one and only bass is Vintage Modified P...looks just like an Affinity and is a keeper for sure.

Played a VM Modified 70's out for a while. It was super-tuned, flatwounds, upgraded control plate, upgraded tuners and just had the right retro look. I usually consider investment an important commitment to be a part of the community (like, don't cheap out bro', and expect to command respect from the rest of us), but really, Squiers are darn fine guitars these days. Not to be too maverick, I did play it thru a pro rig. It might be too low brow to go entry level for both guitar and rig

Thanks for the link. I love Digable Planets and they're even greater with a live band backing them up. And now I love my Squiers (VM jass bass and Affinity guitar) a little more

Yup. Modded Affinity Tele for my 6-string Country gigs, and an Affinity Precision neck on my no-name Jazzenstein 4-stringer. The necks alone are worth the price of the whole unit. Electronics and hardware are definitely lower quality than CV/VM/MIM/MIJ/MIM, but can be upgraded on the cheap.

He should submit that set up in the Janky-A Rig of Doom (Janky-A Rigs of Doom). I bet it sounds earthshaking though.
