Are you a crazy pet owner

There was a poster on here that wanted to buy a tiger, and I think we never heard from that person again
Ha - I remember that! What happened, did he get eaten?

I have three dogs (two American Mastiffs and one mini dachshund) and a fat house cat. And also two teenagers in a three bedroom apartment. It gets crazy at times but we found a system that works. Well, for the most part.

I just realized we must be crazy because after Saturday we now have:

4 Dogs (2 Beagles, Beagle/something else, and a English Bulldog) and 2 cats. No wonder the house is never clean.

Anyone else?

Happiness is a warm beagle. They are wonderful people. I'm the proud father of two beagles. If I wasn't living in an apartment I would probably have four beagles. :)

Our new one howls every single time he is in his crate and sounds like a loud Lama. The irony of this is across the street our neighbors have a Lama farm.

Short answer.. Yes. And it has overflowed to my office. I rather think it's funny when high profile big hitting sales guys open our front door and are met with a dog that has a "hound from hell" bark. Cats rubbing all up against their expensive trousers and such. I once offered to have a lawyer lady's suit cleaned for her when the cat balled up and fell asleep on her lap.

I live in a big ol haus with 2 couples, one's 10yo girl, 5 cats, and a big dumb dog ... so yea, our place is kind of a zoo. Our attached neighbors/friends also have a black cat that likes to cross the porch and run into our place whenever both doors are open on the 'catio' where we tacked up removable deer fencing so they can hang out there with us. Occasionally a neighborhood cat will wander in when we leave the front door open in the summer. The dog is a little annoying, but we all love them all!

2 dogs - Anatolian Shepherd and Pomeranian. Both rescues.
3 cats - ages ranging from 4 to 17 - all rescues.
3 parrots - 2 African Greys and a Senegal. Again, all rescues. We currently do work for a parrot rescue organization - mickaboo.org
Oh, and one son still living at home...

Good on ya, mate. Rehabilitating stressed/neglected/abused birds is very challenging work.
It does require a lot of patience. My wife, fortunately, has amazing patience - she has to, given that she's able to stay married to me. :D
But yeah, birds are different than rehoming or rehabing dogs or cats. They're wild and they're prey animals so it takes a lot to earn their trust and get them to feel safe, especially if they've had rough experiences with people.
