Bass compressor recommendation

Some compressors do in fact have a glassy, hi-fi tone. I'm not arguing the point that the OP might need the right amp instead of the right compressor. However I'd be interested to know whether the OP's Eden only sounded glassy when the compressor was on. If so, then a glassy compressor could very well be the solution he's looking for.
yes as i said, some of them have a tone to them. not knowing what amp the OP is playing through to begin with puts us at a disadvantage. some amps / cabs will not sound "glassy" under any circumstances no matter how many of the "right" compressor you plug your bass into.
 
Just to loop back with folks on this thread: I bought a Diamond Bass Comp/EQ. While it doesn't make things sound like the Eden EC210, it certainly does make things sound very good. Have tried it with both my P bass with Labella stainless steel flats and my Jazz with stainless steel Labella round wounds. Pretty swell, gotta say.
