Best female rock vocalist

Nice. Thanks for sharing those. She's great.

Hayley Williams, lead singer of Paramore is not a bassist. But she's definitely my favorite singer out there today. We saw her live in concert last year and we were blown away at her range, energy and performance. I consider her the best frontman in the biz, right now.

I don't know if I'd say best, Hayley Williams really is special, but Ellie Roswell of Wolf Alice has a great voice. As the song builds you can tell she has some serious power. Huge voice at 4mins. IMO a great song too.
Yeah, I take nothing away from Ellie. She's got serious pipes. But for me, Hayley is not just a top vocalist but literally the best frontman for any relevant band out there today. When we saw Paramore last year, she danced non-stop and still delivered on vocals. Check out this video my wife took of her singing Decode. It gave me chills.

And that was AFTER she spend the whole night dancing around like this...

How can we be this far along and nobody has mentioned Chrissie Hynde? Saw The Pretenders a couple of weeks ago. Her voice is still fantastic, and she's a badass!

Saw the title of this thread, came in all ready to argue why it's obviously Johnette Napolitano... I'm working on a new covers project with a really great singer and briefly thought about doing a few Concrete Blonde songs but then realized that the singer can't pul them off because she just sounds way too gentle.

So, instead, a honorable mention for Katherlne Parlour. A bit like a bluesier Johnette...
