There is a pretty nasty solo LP called All Alone that could be in the running for worst recorded bass sound. DI with those horrible nylon strings...FYI/truth be told... - there are (much) later RC recordings with a bass sound that I would also call "unbelievable". (sad face...)
100% agree. I would love to know what bass & strings were used on this recording - it does NOT sound anything like RC's Juzek(-y?) bass & strings of a few years later.
