I have a Mesa Traditional Powerhouse 4x10 bass cab with a Traditional Powehouse 1x15 bass cab. I have acquired an Ampeg SVT-4 Pro stereo/mono amp which has the facility to bi-amp the 4x10 and the 1x15 and manually set the cross-over frequency point so that frequencies below a given point are sent to the 1x15 and everything above is sent to the 4x10. I'm needing to know what this frequency cross-over point is. Can anyone help?

There is no frequency to cross over at because you don't have a low frequency cab and a high frequency cab, you have two full range cabs. Not only that, but the 4x10 handles more power than the 1x15. A low frequency cab has to handle more power than a high frequency cab, not less. A 1x15 plus a 1x10 makes some sense, a 1x15 plus a 2x10 makes less sense, a 1x15 plus a 4x10 doesn't make any sense.

It'll probably sound better fullrange. You could try sending 400 and below to the 410 and put it on the bottom. The 15 sounds great up top and has better dispersion than the 410.

Yeah, I would run both cabs full range, and put the 115 on top... I had both the PH410 and PH115 until recently, and I thought they sounded best together when I put the 115 on top... Lastly, the 410 can take more wattage than the 115, so by having the 115 on top, you'll be able to better hear if you're pushing that cab past it's limits...

A big yes from my side concerning this. I made the exact same experience. Love the sound of the 15s, but at the bottom you don't here anything of 'em.

If you want to bi amp--- get a 2-10 and cross over between 100 an 250 he.
Better solution decide if you like the 1-15 or 4-10 better, then get another one, sell the one you don't like.
Full range sounds better for a stage rig from my experience. YMMV

Biamping with full range cabs simply isn't worth the added expense and bother. (IOW, been there, done that. I went back to full signals for full range cabs and biamping only for true bass bins and mid/high tops.)
YMMV

I bi-amped back in the day. 210 for the top and a 115 for the bottom. It was OK. With the way things are these days, I don't think there's enough of a noticeable sonic gain to make it worth the hassle - IMHO.
