When you say "edge" do you mean the fold in the leather, or alternately the seam where the folded leather is joined?

Play with a rock band, recording in the studio, and have the engineer accidentally have heavy feedback (in headphones if possible) and you won't have to be troubled by bow quiver sounds ever again.

I haven't had any trouble with the laces coming untied, I just use a square knot.

But the laces sent with the quiver are real soft leather and I've broken them more than once just getting them adequately tight. Need to go up to Tandy Leather and get a roll of good black leather lacing. Boot laces from the grocery store would be fine but they're brown.

I don't care what color they are as long as they stay tied.

I use 1/8” bungee cord to attach my quiver to the bass. The knot won’t loosen, and the bungee elasticity diminishes any muting of the tail piece. Noiseless.
