Broughton Audio Super Thread

Josh makes amazing stuff and his willingness to do custom work is really exciting. The super stack is the core of my main rig currently, and I also have a custom preamp and a broughton-modded & re-housed oc-2 (125b with top jacks, second footswitch to mute the dry signal). I had a sunder v1 and would love a v2 some day.

The preamp has l+hpf, para eq, and the azure drive, as well as the transboost and a DI

And I've got 4 more broughton products on the way - I'll post a pic when they're all here

I would LOVE to send Josh my oc2 to have this done. Do you have a picture of that one? I didn't know he had done this.

after jonesin' for one for quite some time, i got a Power Stage to try. IMO, it's a very nice clean boost, but unfortunately I don't care for the distortion tones in it at all.

I run mine on triode mode, pretty clean. Kinda like I run the AU-drive. I've never even once cranked it into distortion. It's just not why I have it.

Oh and I have a LPF, Powerstage, Azure Drive and a Sunder V1. And a P15 but that's a sad story of postal neglect. Josh has already fixed it twice (free each time even though it was of no fault of his own).

On order I have a Mutron Boost, Broughctave, SuperDuperStack and an Azure V2 together with a power adapter for my vintage EHX BMS.

I love Josh's work - you can literally ask him to build anything, with as crazy ideas as you can think of, with as many mods as you desire and he will find a way to do it, for a much more reasonable price than I had become accustomed to paying. Top jacks, no problem. 18v? Sure if you want it. Etc etc etc

Dude is a class act.

my "Mini Board of Bliss" really benifits from the Broughton Power Stage and Monocle compressor. the PS can be a clean or slightly dirty boost or cut. i love the Monocle solo'd, but stacked-up with the Smoothie is anything but redundant!
