Bugera BT115TS Bass Cabinet (1600 Watts, 1x15")

It's been my experience that you get what you pay for. But sometimes a real deal comes your way. So, I've been looking for a 15" speaker to compliment my 4 X 12 cab. I saw the Bugera 1,600 watt for a price so much less than others and had to ask, is this a good deal or am I missing something?

Your status has your current setup listed as an Ampeg SVT-7 Pro and a GK-Neo 412...

So, forgive me, but...

1. Yes, you get what you pay for.
2. Why do you need a 1600 watt cab (assuming it really is)?
3. Why do you need a 15" cab to go with your 410?

I could go on, but others will.
Before purchasing my 4×12 cab, I had a 2 X 15 cab. I'm missing the low end deep sound and was thinking of adding a 1×15 to assist with that sound I was used to.

Ok, assuming serious. My recommendation is to find a cab that you fall head-over-heels for tone-wise as a standalone. Then either use that cab to replace your current 410 by itself if powerful enough (not necessarily by posted power rating), or double up if necessary. Just my 2c.

As it might help, what amp are you using if it isn't the SVT-7 Pro noted in your profile? Also, which 410 do you currently have?

Mesa Subway!

I don't know that I'd necessarily limit myself to 15s in your shoes, as you might find a 212 or even 410 that might knock your socks off and check all the boxes.

But, if your heart is set on 15s (we all have our biases), then those Subway 15s do seem to get a lot of love around here. Since you mentioned high-end (not sure of budget), I'd also check out the Audiokinesis Hathor 15" models, and the Greenboy Fearless F115 - which is the cab that personally knocked my socks off. ;)

If you can't get your sound you are after with either 10"s or 15"s you may want give a chance to 12" loaded cabs. If you even can't feel happy with 12" stuff you may want keep in mind that driver size means nothing but driver size.

If you feel some "contradictions" with this "science" you may want open a can of worms
