I’m going to stretch my morning jogs out an extra couple of miles because my bathroom scale told me to. My playlist needs some fresh meat to keep my mind off the laborious task ahead. I’m on a P Bass with rounds kick, and I’m looking for some lesser-known tracks. Any genre, pick, fingers, perhaps some funky slap. I’ve already got Mars Cowling, Bruce Thomas, Mike Watt, JJ Burnel, Burke Shelley, Dusty Hill, and Gerry McAvoy covered. Perhaps fellow TB’ers could suggest some of their own music.
Thx!

The first four are probably flats, the last two are probably rounds.

Bob Glaub on bass – not flats unfortunately, but definitely some tasty slapping on a Precision

As much as I love flats, in this thread, I want songs with rounds...and this is a good one. Played it at my last two gigs and I LOVE it.

EDIT AFTER YOUR EDIT: I played it with nickel rounds on my P, and it sounded great, so it counts. :D

Anything with Kenny Gradney. This guy does not get anywhere near the recognition he deserves.

One of my favs from way back, Day at the Dog Races. Relentless groove, and guaranteed to make you run an extra mile!:roflmao:
