For those who are not up on the technical term "ebony wood powder" most non technical people call this magic stuff saw dust, I can sell some if anyone can't find any.My luthier used it with ebony wood powder to fill in holes and cracks. The result was pretty much invisible.
if it's more than a year old toss itI found a small bottle of CA glue. I cannot remember what I had used this for when I bought it, and I'm not even sure it was for guitar work ... can any of you tell me how it applies cause I don't know whether to keep it with my guitar stuff or toss it. thanks
If it’s very old, toss it and wait until you need some before you buy any more. The best CA is the freshest CA. Find a busy hobby shop with a Bob Smith Industries rack and pick your poison.Hello friends -- I generally handle setups and minor repairs myself, and when going through a box of guitar-related doodads I found a small bottle of CA glue. I cannot remember what I had used this for when I bought it, and I'm not even sure it was for guitar work ... can any of you tell me how it applies cause I don't know whether to keep it with my guitar stuff or toss it. thanks
^ What’s great about TalkBass.Super and tape trick for holding things, finish drop fills, sealing paint edges to help stop any paint chip out (screw holes, and often after cleaning up paint lumps and overspray in nech pockets where I will brush/paint on some thin CAalong those hidden sanded edges to seal and strengthen those newly exposed paint edges), and most often for strengthening screw holes of all types (PG screws, bridge screws, neck screws, you get the idea) where a little thin CA wicked in with a whip tip hardens the holes 'threads' and makes for a nice secure screw tightening.
