I haven't tried tons of amps for upright, but I think the walkabout cab is a sleeper for upright.
Mostly because of it's emphasis on low mids compliments it nicely.
Did you used a preamp?

I didn't use a pre amp. I don't think I've ever used one !
I just plugged my bass into the Walkabout 112, with the switch on passive mode. It sounded beautifully.
I also sent it to FOH because it was a big venue , although their system didn't sound as good. They're probably not used to acoustic instruments.
At modest volumes for my set up (realist lifeline and full circle on my Kay)
Reversing the phase is like night and day.
At higher volumes I think it is less important.
It is possible that a newer walkabout is not reverse phase idk.
Thanks to everyone that advised me at any point .
I found this Gallien-Krueger 115 BHR for dirt cheap, and added it to the Walkabout 112.
This is beautiful.
Both the Precision and the Music Man sound like a dream . It's the first time I can say " I can't stop playing !".
I'm very happy to find a sound that I like So much.
