Club Trickfish!

My anecdotal experiences with the Pascal (in the Wayne Jones cabs and the RAD 1000P amp) and lots of experience with ICE modules leads me to the conclusion that the biggest difference (to my ears) is how much faster the Pascal is. Its like lightning in a box. Crazy fast transient slam/power delivery. Been digging my 1000P a whole lot lately.

B.5K into a fearful 12/6/1. Can't get enough of it. Just finished a warmoth gecko build with Delano SBCs and the Noll 4 band pre. My first 35" and I couldn't be happier. The b on this rig is like plucking a low b on a Bosendorfer Grand. The rest is MTD like, and is quite punchy. I'd love to try the Trickfish 4.8, so that's next.

I just got my 1k yesterday and only had about five minutes to play to test it out. I plugged it I to my Aguilar 212 and holy crap! It sounded so good just flat! I haven't even had a chance to mess with the eq at all and I am impressed.

One of my favorite things about the amp was the 40hz/80hz button... the difference between deep bass and smooth bass... glad you are liking it!

My full Trickfish setup made it onto their Facebook page.

How do you like the pair of 12's? I have been considering adding one of those next for small/acoustic gigs.
One of them will easily handle a small acoustic gig. Two of them will handle a loud rock gig. They’re quite powerful.

They sound great. They’re the most “even” sounding cabs I’ve played to date. They extend quite low for conventional cabs, but not so far as to be problematic, and the woofer integration with the tweeter is very smooth. My previous favorite cabinet for tone was my Bergantino HD210 the ceramic version, not the newer HDN neo version). These TF112s sound markedly better to me, regardless of total output potential, which also happens to be higher than the Berg. The form factor is a little bulky compared to the Berg, but they’re still very manageable.

I’ve got an sm112, used it last night, and it’s my favorite small cab. No problem handling a small- med volume gig with a nice big sound. I haven’t put it in a situation yet with a bashing drummer and will try not to but I’m not positive it wouldn’t hang.

I use an Fdeck even with heads that have fixed HPF's, which are usually in the low 30's, because I like being able to raise the cutoff point on boomy stages or weird rooms, to tighten it up. So its not been redundant for me. But that also doesnt answer your question about whether the Bullhead has a built in HPF

I don’t know for certain, but having played older SWR amps and the EA iAmp Pro, all of which had little to no high pass filtering I can tell you that my B1K is substantially more controlled down low than either of those amps, yet still has a ton of bottom. If I had to guess I would bet it’s high passed around 30hz at 12db/oct.

Have you ever had problems with the 1 K not having enough power ? Just asking :)
Not me personally. The Pascal power module in the amp seems to work just fine. I will say that something about either the power module, the gain structure, or some other implementation seems to be highly dependent on EQ and gain knob settings. That's true of any amp, but seemingly more so with this design. As long as you keep the gain meter near the top of the orange or occasionally peaking onto the first of the two reds it will slam with the best of them. They even mention this in the manual, so it would seem that the designers took this into account. Additionally, those TF112 cabs can really take a beating without breaking a sweat. I've gotten away with just one of them rather than the pair on a gig where there wasn't room in the van to bring both and I just had to keep my fingers crossed that it would work. It did work by the way :D
