Not to go all nostalgic, but... I sure still miss Premier Bass. Dan ran that shop like a hangout more than a retail store and was a genuinely good human being. (And sometimes his lounge area doubled as a work bench. :)) You could go for a set of strings and end up hanging out for the day. When I was in the market for a pair of 1x12s, he rearranged his whole shop to get all of his 1x12 cabs together. It turned out to be pretty much an all-day thing, with players coming in and out, testing different amps with cabs. I ended up with a pair of Bergantino CN112s.

These photos take me back. Dan was an incredibly kind and sweet man, and the best bass hang you could ask for.

I still have his “coffee table” cab. I put new speakers and ports in it. It made the move to Nashville with me and I take it on the road with me for gogs whenever the gig allows.
