Combo search

I have traded in my heavy tube stack for a Hartke KB15 combo. With 500 watt you get plenty of volume.
When playing on a stage with FOH it functions as a stage monitor in front of me, tilted back.
I have the best sound ever. The new generation Hartke Kickback combo's are awesome!

Hey everyone, I have decided to sell my Ampeg SVT 3 pro head, Ampeg Classic 1 x 15, Ampeg Classic 2 x 10 in favour of something smaller.

I have recently gone to custom IEMs which I love. I don't need a bigger rig anymore. I am in my 60s and tired of lifting gear up and down stairs.

I live in Canada so our options are limited, I believe, for some of the boutique stuff.

Markbass, Hartke, GK, Fender are some examples available to us in Long and Mcquade.

I play mostly rock in a working coverband. I use some pedals and my main bass is a Dingwall NG3.

The only combo I have heard live in a club by another bass player was the Markbass 12. I couldn't believe how loud and punchy it was.

Any suggestions?
GR Bass Cube would be my first option. Powerful, sounds amazing and lighter than ALL others.

FWIW, I ended up getting a Markbass CMB110, 40W combo amp.

It's pretty light - 21 lb. or just under 10 kg. Less than half the weight of the Crate 50W amp I started with in 1995 or so. Great sound. Nice practice-friendly options, like top-mounted headphone and aux in jacks.

Yes, it's only 40W, which is plenty for practice and probably enough for smaller venues/depending on music type/combo size.
