Hi!

I'd like some advice on a speaker alternative.
I have a 2x15 bass cab. Its dimensions are 1020 x 660 x 415 mm
Internal dimensions are more or less 990 x 630 x 355 mm.
It has 4 ports with diameter 4 inch and length is around 140mm

It was supposed to be loaded with 2 Eminence Kappalite 3015 speakers but apparently all shops where I can order don't have them on stock right now. I go on tour in 10 days and now I need an alternative for the Kappalite 3015's to match in THIS cab. It will be used for synths through a Fender Bassman amp

Any help on speaker alternatives is much appreciated !

There's a major problem with those 4 inch port diameters.
You'll need to change them to 101.6 mm each. :smug:

I asked Eminence and I got this reply .

Try these in the order of best to OK:

1. KappaPro 15LF-II
2. Kappa 15LF
3. Delta 15LF

I guess the Kappa Pro LF 2 could do indeed?

Such a pity. My experience with the kappalite 3015's was great.

The LF versions are pretty dark without a midrange driver, I wouldn't recommend them without listening to them first.

What is available to you?

As you're in Europe, there's a Beyma that's pretty close:
Model 15 MC700:
Identical Vas (153 liters)
Qts is .35 versus .34
Fs is a bit lower - 41 vs 46
Xmax is 9.8 mm (which means you'd hit it's "rails"" a bit higher in SPL, a good thing)

It's got a bit less at 2 kHz, but I think with a twist of your treble knob, you'd be in the same ballpark.

Faital Pro 15PR400 - They are from Italy, or the Beyma 15WR400 (I have been wanting to try those.) may be easier for you. May want to adjust tuning. 45 to 47 Hz is a great target.

Those might work (I have Faital and Beyma drivers in some of my cabinets; they're likely quality parts), but both are even lower in Fs (mid 30's), and about 50 % higher in Vas - they're further away from the original drivers in terms of parameters that the one I picked; their performance would be...more different. As our guy is about to embark on a tour, he probably needs....less variables right now.
