Favorite use of Hohner Clavinet on a *non-funk* recording?

Here's a non-funk pop song that’s usually way on the bottom of quite a few guy’s list of favorite songs.

Is it me or is there a single faint hand-clap (L channel) on the down-beat of 2 in the 5th measure (right after the word love)?

If it is, could it be a subliminal message to ‘clap your hands’ to the tune (there is hand clapping during the outro)/?

This was the first song I ever heard with a Clavinet from about 1969. I recognized the sound right away because I had recently heard a guy playing a Clavinet at a local music store:



This might have been the second from 1970:
