Female or High Vocal Songs

How about some of Lana Del Rey's more energetic stuff? We do "Raise Me Up" which is a very deep cut but goes over well, and you could certainly do "Summertime Sadness" at least.

Also I'd suggest Alex Argot's "Strawberry Girl". It's very dreampop but could be played faster, and just an excellent song. One of at least three songs released this year we've covered live.

Edit: and for high songs with male vocals, Clever's new stuff like "Cowboy Killers" or "Trainwreck".

Thanks for the suggestions all, I listened to every one that I was not already familiar with and have passed on several to the singers for review.

Our male lead is a tenor vocalist who can comfortably sing Bon Scott with a pushed chest voice for example - probably falling in the lyric tenor range and tonality. He's got a strong mixed voice too which is nice to have. Our female is more of a dramatic soprano with a powerful chest voice. Neither are opera trained but these would best describe where they land. Between them, they hit the ranges needed for 99% of modern music, and permit us to choose from a wide selection. Well, as long as it's rock guitar based, but that's more a limitation of our instrumentation. :smug:
