American Professional V for sure and those look like the same tuners.
Any chance you could weigh one then???

Hey, Dan.No worries man.
Hey, Dan.
Let me redeem myself.
I talked to Fender customer support and got the weight for you: 65 grams.
I'm kind of wondering if the Ultralights are even worth it.
You're totally welcome! Thanks Aaron. Much appreciated. As it happens I got an email back from Fender the other day and they said the set including bushings weighs 0.72lb which would make each one around 82g. Strange.
Oh wow!
You're building it from scratch. That's great!
You'll have to post pics when you get done.
8 lbs 1 oz is a great weight.
I'll probably get some tools and/or switch these tuners out towards the end of the summer and then we'll solve the mystery of the Fender tuners if we have already.
Do you have any experience with the Hipshot short Y key tuners?
Will they clear the Fender headstock?
I'm kind of looking at a less is more approach with weight and shape after thinking about it from this thread.
...one last attempt to redeem myself.Any chance you could weigh one then???

DISCLAIMER: this gram scale is not the most accurate. I believe I read that it rounds the weight UP to the nearest EVEN number so I would say it is within 2 grams and probably closer.

Did you order the Hipshot ultralights? If so, how much weight did you save?Just wanted to put this out there in case anyone needs the info.
Here’s the weight for an entire set of tuners from an American Professional Precision V. This includes the nuts and the washers.
364 grams-not too bad!
