I've been done.
One of my online guitar shops is having a sale, and a few days ago they'd dropped the price of a white Bronco enough for me to dive in. Then I got a message today from Fender UK that the purple LE Bronco is in stock. Now I've got two in the post to me.
Who said life's fair?
My local Sam Ash had this in stock so I went and bought it today.
Neck is uber straight and the frets are done well.
It did neck dive pretty bad but the hi mass bridge and anodized pickguard helped a bit with that. I'm going to play with it for a while and if like/keep it, I'll look into some ultra light tuners.

Already have one (Coral) with Deep Talkin' Flats on it. Plan is to leave the purple one with factory strings and put steel RS66S (and white Strat-type knobs and a white strap with white strap locks ) on the white one. Forget the EQ or a new pickup to change tone - change the bass.I am glad they decided to bring it back over there. Thought they were all done with it. I would keep the LE-just love the color-if I had to choose, but it seems you decided to own both. However, they are so affordable it does not matter much, and you could end up transforming them into two unique basses over time.
I am always surprised at how fun/addictive this humble Sonic Bronco bass is-hard to put down. Hope you enjoy them when they arrive, and that they have no problems at all.
Life's good in this case! Just less cash...
Gotta love the purple (sorry for reposting this pic)I've been done.

Curious if anyone has advice on easily tinting the necks on these? They're just so pale and white looking.
Ideally I'd like to get closer to a roasted maple/vintage looking neck.
You get sunshine there? I thought the weather was almost as bad as England.I put mine in the sun. That works!
No low speed pursuits through Los Angeles with that thing! My pimped white Bronco. White strap and rubber strap locks - and white Strat knobs

Apologies, but the reference didn't get across the Pond.No low speed pursuits through Los Angeles with that thing!
OJ Simpsons low-speed chase in his White Bronco.Apologies, but the reference didn't get across the Pond.
Agree that this 'purple' is a strange, washed-out colour. I put a purple strap on mine, but it killed the body's colour completely. I've now put a black strap and black Strat knobs on it, and IMO it looks much better.Switched knobs, but they didn't match! Just ordered some beautiful ones from a Reverb seller/store named "Knobhead" that look awesome-however, the numbers are white (I wished they were black instead, as in these ones.) Will leave these on until those arrive (won't need them afterwards, if anyone wants them, just let me know.) Will update then.

(Just in case it needs be mentioned, love this little Bronco bass! Has been a blast to customize over time, and I enjoy playing it.)
