I've tried the Precision Flats and Brite Flats in succession on the same bass. I found that the Brite Flats have the same basic tonality as Precision Flats, only, well, brighter. If you are playing Precision Flats, like the sound, but just wish your tone knob could go up even higher... you might want Brite Flats.
I think they sound great on fretless bass; I'm half-inclined to put them there and leave them, but I do like the additional "mwah" from pressurewound strings... because, if I'm going to bother to play fretless in the first place, I want it to sound like it!
