Gallien Krueger MB200 + Behringer Ultrabass BA115

You will get more "volume" by getting another cab/more speakers. The difference in wattage from 8 ohm to 4 ohm on a small amp like that would barely be noticeable. But, if you get some more speaker area to spread that power around (and also go into 4 ohm territory) you will see a noticeable improvement.

Thank you very much, so if I add another cab should the power get better? Or should I just try to get a 4 ohm cab? This is the first time for me with a stack, I've always had a combo amp before :(

Hola Enrique,

I'd say get a second 8 Ohm cab. That way you can use the stack at full volume with the two cabs, or use just one if you need less power and more portability.

Check your cab again. Make sure it is 8ohms. Then, you should get a matching 8ohm cab, and you will notice a good difference in volume.

If your cab is 4ohms, and you add an 8ohm cab to it......you amp could possibly die. Your best bet if your cab is 4ohms is to get rid of it and find a pair of good quality 8ohm cabs that will effeciently work with the mb200 head.

A Hartke Hydrive 112 cab can be switched between 4 and 8 ohms at 400 watts, I believe. Little more expensive for the privilege, but it's what I'm planning on getting so I can easily scale up my setup if I need to without sacrificing amp wattage now.

Thank you all for your replies, I really appreciate them, I will take your advice and get 2 cabs, first I'll save money for a good 8 ohm cab, then I'll sell the poopy Behringer one and I will get another good 8 ohm cab, the thing is that here in México it is very expensive, so I think I'll just figure it out to get them shipped from the US, one more question, I don't really know how the Twiter (or tweeter) works, is it really neccesary to get a cab with one of those? Or does anyone has a suggestion for budget cabs? Or should I just hang in here and save some money to get a SWR? I've played with SWR Megoliath and they are beasts

FWIW,
A 4/0hm 2X12 and a GK mb200 will make quite a bit of volume. Two 8ohm 2x12 cabs and an MB200 will make quite a bit more volume. I have zero experience with any Beringer products, but 2 8ohm 1x15 cabs should be enough.

YMMV,

My mb200 through two 8 ohm cabs easily keeps up with drummers that are not insane bashers, regular breakers of sticks, cymbal crackers, you know the kind.

OP could build a pair of the diy coffee 12 cabs with relatively cheap B&C neo and be well set. Thread by @lowensatisfactn not correct spelling! Much cheaper importing drivers than cabs.
