As I said in my post above (#13), I ordered one of these on Dec. 4, for the sale price of $350 minus the additional coupon-code discount. At the time I placed the order, the web page indicated that it was out of stock but would be available on 12/14. Fine, I thought: I'm not really in a rush, and if they ship shortly after the 14th I'll still probably get it by Christmas. But then....
Five days later, on the 9th I, received an email saying that it would "likely not be delivered" by 12/24, so if it was intended as a Christmas gift I should call them so they could help me find an alternative item or replace it with a gift card yadda yadda. Still, no problem: I did buy it as a Christmas present for myself, but it wasn't really important to me that it be delivered by that date.
Five days after that, on the 14th -- the date on which it was supposed to be available -- I received an email saying that the item was still on back-order and they didn't know when they would be able to ship.
Yesterday, the 27th, I received another email saying the same thing, i.e., we don't have them and don't know when we will.
Now, as I said, I'm really not in any rush for this: My old amp still works fine, and I only bought this because it was such a stupid-good deal and I thought it was a great way to pick up a good extra amp on the cheap. But now I'm starting to feel like I'm getting jerked around, and I'm not sure how long I should wait before calling them and telling them to forget it.
Did anyone else order one of these at about the same time-- and if so, are you in the same situation or have you had better luck?
