Good body colors for maple neck

Black and Tan. Black body, B/W/B pick guard.

I also had a jazz in transparent sunset orange with a maple neck. That was SO pretty.

What are some good colors for a maple neck? I’m excluding black and red.

Even though you stated you don't want to go with black, I'm going to suggest it...you know, just in case no one else does.

Morning Muddslide,I am impressed with it myself,love the glossy maple neck,and gold/brass hardware. Yes it is 1985 Hondo Fame 830 Series,solid wood body. Have it for sale in the classifieds. It really sounds good through my Fender Rumble 200. Weighs in around 9.8lbs.

The pink/maple seems really a washed-out way to go - and after the Flea bass, not too offbeat. either.
Me, I suggest revisiting the amazing International Colors of the 80s - either Monaco Yellow or Capri Orange.
